Vestkantbadet har vært en institusjon på Frogner i snart 100 år, og et av de få gjenværende offentlige badene i Norge. Etter lang tids oppussing, har det fredede badet i kjelleren på Sommerro endelig åpne dørene for gamle og nye gjester. Alt det originale Art Deco-interiøret er bevart, men Vestkantbadet er utvidet til totalt 18 behandlingsrom, kaldkulp med infrarød badstu, basseng, treningsavdeling på 400m2 og lobbyshop med bredt utvalgt. Og jada, det ikoniske svømmebassenget med Per Krohgs mosaikk er fortsatt hjertet i det hele.

Dette er Sommerro
Sommerro er et hus med spisesteder, barer, kulturscener, møtesteder, hotellrom og en stor velværeavdeling med Vestkantbadet som hjerte. Her har vi rom for jobb, fest og avkobling, for å samles og for å trekke seg tilbake. Bygget som på 1930-tallet var Oslo Lysverkers stolte hovedkvarter er fullt av historier og for lengst en institusjon på Solli plass. Målet med Sommerro har vært å ikke bare gi nytt liv til bygget, men å gi ny energi til hele byen.
På trappen til Sommerro står det «lys – kraft – varme» hugget i stein. Det er arven etter gamle Oslo Lysverker og verdiene vi tar med videre. Vi er allerede en stor familie som tror på magien i møtet mellom mennesker og på djevelen i detaljene. Sammen elsker vi store idéer, høye ambisjoner og bredt lagarbeid. Vi vet at om vi tar godt vare på hverandre, blir vi enda bedre rustet til å ta vare på gjestene. Vi ser hver dag, at gode kollegaer som gis tillit, trygghet og forventninger, strekker seg enda litt lenger. Alt for at gjesten skal gå hjem med det lille ekstra.
Sommerro søker deg som vil sette en ny standard for hvordan folk blir mottatt og ivaretatt, og som brenner for å få alle gjester til å føle seg hjemme, enten de har reist rundt halve kloden eller kommer ruslende fra andre siden av gaten. Bygget er verdt et besøk i seg selv. Du skal sørge for at folk blir – og vil komme igjen og igjen!
Vi vurderer søknader fortløpende og tiltredelse er snarest eller etter avtale.
