As Payment Owner /Head of Payment you'll have an important role in Nordic Choice ambition of building a universe of experiences for our guests and partners.  As a member of the Group Finance Governance team, your main responsibilities are to implement a payment strategy to improve the groups payment maturity, to ensure operational excellence in all processes associated with Payments, and to balance the Financial KPIs with the impact on the Strategic and Operational KPIs. Responsibility also includes the ability to measure and communicate the financial impact over time.

The talent - Key qualifications:

  • Solid and executive experience from Payments
  • End-to-end understanding of payment processes
  • Data driven mentality towards Payments with high analytical capabilities 
  • Experience in working with a large variety of internal stakeholders and complex coordination. Project management experience will be beneficial, ensuring that initiatives are coordinated in daily operations as well on a project basis.
  • Experience in building and maintaining Supplier Relationships / Partnerships
  • As the Travel and Hospitality sector is subject to many sector specific Payments challenges, sector specific experience is preferable

Skills and abilities:

First and foremost, we are looking for a person who has a solution-oriented attitude and the ability to handle situations characterized by a high pace and high demands. As a person, you have drive, take initiative and have a good ability to plan and organize. Furthermore,  we are looking for someone with:

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to understand how payment solutions can improve the guest/customer experience
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, in Norwegian/Swedish and English
  • Strong end to end understanding of the payment processes, from guest/customer payment to customer ledger entries
  • Exceptional people skills with the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships
  • Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization
  • Experience from bridging gaps between business and tech
  • Efficient and frictionless payment mindset / Operational Excellence
  • Be on top of payment trends and customer payment behavior

Knowledge and experience:

  • 5-7 years of experience of working with Payment
  • Travel and Hospitality sector knowledge
  • Experience in building and maintaining Supplier Relationships / Partnerships
  • Strong knowledge of payment regulations and compliance requirements
