MEETING MANAGER 

to our MEETINGS & EVENTS department in Clarion Helsinki.

Meetings & Events is part of the Clarion Hotel Helsinki in Jätkäsaari. Our M&E department is located in the old warehouse designed by Lars Sonck in the 1930s. It has been transformed into the modern Makasiini event venue, featuring 13 meeting and event premises equipped with premium conference technology. We serve about 100 000 guests annually.

We now have an open vacancy for a Meeting Manager. Position is permanent and full-time. Clarion hotels are not only place to sleep - they are a magical place to meet. Your main task as an Meeting Manager is to take responsibility for our wide range of meeting functions focused on daytime meetings. Meeting Manager leads our big meeting days from start to end with a staff of up to 30 persons at a time. Meeting Manager makes sure our meeting rooms are how the guest has wanted them and that the meeting servings - especially meeting lunch - are served professionally and that the presentation is a WOW - factor itself.

Work includes morning and weekend shifts as well as occasional evening shifts.

The skills needed for the position are minimum 3 years of experience from food & beverage work on a supervisor level, knowledge of beverage products and a true passion for serving customers. However, the most important quality is the “hands on” approach to work.  Work is versatile and the days vary according to customer orders. Even though we have modern assisting tools at work you still need to have the ability to work physically and to lead by example.

You communicate and lead with Clarion Tone of Voice and you want to create a special experience for our guests. Positivity is a word that describes you well. As a person you strive for continuous improvement for service level and sales and you don’t hesitate to suggest new things. The right attitude rocks! You have the ability to work independently but still you understand what means ”there is no I in the team”. You spread your positive energy and attitude even in tough situations. Fluent Finnish and English are required, all other language skills are seen as an advantage.
