About the job:

We are looking for a bartender for our growing team at Nordic Light Hotel.

In the middle of the capitol close to exactly everything, you’ll find our hotel. The lobby bar is the beating heart where people gather before dinner, after works and a night cap. The bar has an adjacent restaurant serving international food with a Nordic touch.

Main Tasks:

• Responsible for high quality service with the goal of obtaining high guest satisfaction, sending out quality products, and work actively with sales
• Being part of creating and developing the beverage concept
• Being up to date with the department's goals and objectives and work everyday to maintain those goals
• Keeping the good spirit and motivation up within the whole team
• Assisting with ordering and partially stock taking
• Responsible for your own cashier
• Keeping the bar clean and in good condition at all times

Who are you:

• You have at least two years of experience in cocktail bars
• You have at basic wine knowledge and interest in wines
• You are creative when it comes to cocktails and other areas of the bar
• You have interest in the ibar ndustry and update yourself about the newest trends
• An absolute bar enthusiast and willing to grow within the company and ready to get more responsibilities over time
• You have a great repertoire of classic drinks and cocktails
• You like to take ownership and to work unsupervised
• You are a genuine and honest person who puts the guest first
• Able to keep calm and the overview in nearly all situations
• An absolute respect for other people and couldn't care less about gender, religion, sexual preferences, culture, handicap etc
• Always an example ambassador for the hotel and restaurant in and out of the job, including on social media
• Always maintaining a good working atmosphere and motivate your co-workers
• Preferably able to speak Swedish. English is a must.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Responsible for maintaining an outstanding service level in the bar according to the set standards
• Assuring that all drinks leaving the bar are spot on and according to the set standard
• Assuring that colleagues will follow those standards
• Responsible for a good working climate and that guests are always happy and returning
• Responsible for reporting defects or points of improvement to the management
• Responsible for maintaining reservations in the bar and that they are updated in the booking system
• Responsible for assuring that the opening and closing procedures are followed and updated in case of changes
• Responsible for keeping the bar clean and in good condition at all times
• Be updated on guest feedback and if necessary be part of the think tank to improve service
• Co-responsible for monthly stock taking
• Responsible for following the cashier procedures and a balanced cashier at the end of the shift
• Co-responsible for developing the drinking concept together with the bar and restaurant manager
• Be up to date with current bar trends, new spirits, and have a good knowledge of spirits in general
• Co-responsible for obtaining the hotels environmental goals
• Always on time before the shift on the floor in the correct uniform
