SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

We are about to expand our financial team and are looking for a Senior Accountant.

SKT Petri is located in the heart of Copenhagen’s Latin quarters. The hotel is situated in a heritage-listed building designed by legendary Danish architect Vilhelm Lauritzen. In 2003, the building was transformed into Copenhagen’s first design hotel and in 2016-17, SKT. PETRI underwent an extensive makeover, now offering an urban retreat of laidback luxury. 

Responsibilities, among others

Accounts payable

• Ensuring optimal use of invoice work-flow
• Receiving invoices and ensuring that they are approved according to SKT Petri’s SoA
• Ensuring correct and timely posting and payment of all invoices
• Optimizing the account payable process and ensuring constant development

Accounts receivable

• Ensuring correct and timely posting of revenue statements, hereunder handling of cash differences
• Credit rating of customers
• Follow up on overdue accounts receivable balances
• Reconciliation of cash, credit card settlements, prepayments, gift cards, banks etc.

Various tasks

• Handling of tips
• Danish and European VAT handling
• Ensuring correct and timely posting of Financial expenses
• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
• Inventory calculation and inventory control together with relevant stakeholders
• Guaranteeing that internal controls are performed and documented at period end

This is you – Senior accountant

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience from a Finance function – preferably with experience within Hospitality and/or Retail. 

We expect that you have strong skills in Microsoft Office package and are a experienced user in Excel. Furthermore, you have worked with ERP systems and preparation of reconciliations, documentation and period end closing. It is expected in the role that you hold a business level proficiency in spoken and written English and Danish, and that you have knowledge and experience within Danish and European VAT and tax rules.
