Only ten minutes from Gardermoen Oslo Airport and 30 km north of Oslo City centre. Job summary:
The Front of House Manager is responsible for the 24/7 operations of the reception and Concierge services and ensuring the team delivers a professional and above expectations guest experience.
Works to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing the financial performance in all areas of responsibility. Responsible for guiding and developing staff including direct reports.
Together with the Hotel Manager, responsible to hiring new staff.
The Front of House Manager is responsible for vendors and suppliers related to the front of house area. Another responsibility is to make sure all staff is well trained in emergency procedures, like fire and safety.
Works closely together with other departments heads to ensure a good flow of communication between all departments.
It is expected that the Front of House Manager is hands-on and works and stands in front together with the team most of the time and leading by example.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar position and preferable at a full service hotel with SPA facilities. Minimum 2 years’ experience as a leader or supervisor. Being part of an opening is strongly meritorious.
General Skills: Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, prioritize, organize and follow-up, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment, understand a guest's service needs, work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team and maintain confidentiality of guest information. Leading by being a role-model in taking part of the daily operations and seeking to be a clear, inclusive and warm-hearted leader.
It is a requirement that you are fluent in at least one Scandinavian language and in English, both orally and in writing.
